A renowned cost consultancy based in central London is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to become part of a forward-thinking consultancy delivering high-quality projects across the capital and the wider UK.

The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of projects, with a particular focus on commercial offices, prime residential developments, mixed-use schemes, and complex refurbishments. This role will offer hands-on involvement throughout the full project lifecycle, supporting cost management from feasibility through to final account.

Working under the guidance of experienced chartered surveyors, the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will gain exposure to both traditional and design & build contracts, develop client-facing responsibilities, and receive tailored support towards MRICS through a structured APC programme.

This role is ideal for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with UK consultancy experience who is looking to progress their technical skills while working on challenging and high-value developments in a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with preparation of cost estimates, cost plans and tender documents
Supporting procurement, contract award and tender evaluations
Managing change control procedures and assisting with interim valuations
Liaising with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure project objectives are met
Contributing to value engineering exercises and financial reporting
Attending site visits, client meetings and design team workshops

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related subject
2-4 years' experience in a UK-based consultancy or multidisciplinary setting
Progressing towards MRICS with a strong interest in achieving chartership
Solid understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Experience working on commercial or residential projects (preferred)
Strong written, numerical and communication skills

In Return:

40,000 - 45,000 per annum
